Extinction Rebellion shared a video tutorial on how to make DIY protest posters using their designs. I set out to host my own stencil printing workshop influenced by XR.
With family and friends, I held a stencil printing workshop where a peace sign was voted as the design to print. I walked them through the stencil print process including drawing, cutting and printing their own peace sign, encouraging the imperfect aesthetic of protest posters.
Multiple A4 posters on coloured paper were made, printed using foam rollers and acrylic paint. The stencils themselves cut from cereal boxes, a common and accessible tool to create art.
