cyanotype jellyfish
Motivated by a visit to the World Museum's aquarium, I set out to expand my printmaking skill set by learning how to cyanotype print.
Cyanotype printing was chosen to depict the appearance of an aquarium tank due to the shades of blue produced in the process. I found the moon jellyfish mesmerising, so chose them as my subject matter.
A limited edition of five A2 cyanotype prints were made using my own photographs of moon jellyfish from Liverpool World Museum's aquarium.
